Rob Mansbridge

Rob has joined the Langholm Initiative as the ecologist for Tarras Valley Nature Reserve. The initial focus of his work is to carry out the surveys as part of the current annual ecological monitoring, whilst also developing a wider ecological monitoring framework for the reserve.

Prior to this role, he studied zoology at the University of Manchester and has over 10 years’ experience as a professional ecological consultant, where he has undertaken and managed a variety of projects across Britain. He has extensive experience in surveys for both protected species and habitats, with his main passion lying in ornithology, mammalogy, and herpetology.

In his spare time, he enjoys trail running, hiking and wildlife photography: the majority of which he does in his local hills around Langholm, including the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve!
