Phoebe Carter

Phoebe has joined the Langholm Initiative for our graduate placement position. She studied biology at the University of York focusing most of her modules on ecologyand science communication.

During, and after, her studies she volunteered for various wildlife charities and local rewilding projects, gaining experience in conservation and land management.

She will be supporting the team on many different projects, over her time with us on the reserve, including working with Kat with volunteers and school groups, helping to coordinate herbivore impact assessments, and working with Jenny on the Riverwoods development plan.

After moving to Langholm, she is keen to integrate into the local community as much as possible and is particularly interested in the textile history of the town as a lover of arts and crafts.
