Angela is also part of the new team established by the Langholm Initiative to take forward the development of the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve and to ensure it is financially sustainable in the future. As Development Manager her role is to develop projects that generate an income as well as contributing to the overall aims of the Reserve. In addition Angela looks after the housing on the reserve and works with colleagues in the community to support visitor development.
Angela has worked for over 20 years with community buyouts, 17 of those with the Knoydart Foundation working on various projects such as affordable housing, deer management, bunkhouse management, ranger service and managing the hydro electric scheme.
Having originally trained as a Landscape Architect, she has a background in project development and implementation, fundraising and income generation in the voluntary sector.
