Cronsbank cottage
We are really pleased that finally the financial package for Cronskbank Cottage has come together – it has been a long and frustrating time pulling all this together and we appreciate the time and support from our funders in bringing this to a head! We hope that work on the property will be able to start in May and should be complete later in summer, creating an energy efficient, affordable and comfortable home. We will be working on our allocations policy over the next few weeks and will be inviting interested parties to register in due course. We look forward to telling the story of the refurbishment as it develops as well as providing information about some of the more technical aspects of the refurbishment.
Cronsbank farmhouse
We have also started work on improving the water supply to Cronksbank farmhouse which we have plans to convert ( subject to planning) into a small bunkhouse in the future. Along with most of our other properties, the farmhouse is on a private water supply which requires improvement. We took the first steps into the installation of a borehole by having a water diviner out on site to help identify suitable areas to explore for a new borehole. A rig will be on site in June to excavate further and we hope to have a new borehole installed by the end of August. Watch this space for more updates!
